Inspiration
When baseball players predict that a fellow teammate will hit a home run they use the phrase “playing the yard card.” I wanted to bring this dugout phrase to MLB.tv users. When a player is at bat, fans will have the option of “playing their yard card” when they think that player will “go yard,” or hit a home run.
Located in MLB's At Bat, fans can play their yard card during any game and pick a player they think will hit a home run.
My goal was to make watching baseball interactive, fun, and ensure fans don’t miss a game.
